Metallurgical Properties of Blast Furnace Extruded Briquettes (BREX) Based on Hematite Concentrate

چکیده
The metallurgical properties of blast-furnace ore and ore-coal extrusion briquettes (BREX) based on hematite iron concentrate are studied. With respect to values hot strength brex occupy an intermediate position between sinter pellets. reduction capacity for is significantly reduced with simultaneous addition flux solid fuel, which may be associated a in porosity (due clogging pores the formation surface metal crust). Brex softening temperature range largely dependent composition varies widely (130–330°C). onset all samples tested 860–960°C. Prior compared pellets occurs due mechanical after loss cement bonding (700–750°C) caused by chemically bonded water decomposition state ferroakermanite (cement clinker component) at 775°C. It necessary take into account difference temperatures brex, when selecting multicomponent blast furnace charge. This makes it possible avoid increase cohesion zone reduce indirect oxides process combined smelting sinter. data obtained make consider as suitable charge component.

متن کاملLimestone Fillers Cement Based Composites: Effects of Blast Furnace Slags on Fresh and Hardened Properties
Limestone filler is a raw material that is already used in several applications like paints, bricks, bituminous mixtures...etc. Moreover, and particularly in Belgium, classical additions for concrete like fly ashes and granulated blast furnace slags are becoming rare; there is a need for new additions that could have a positive effect on the properties of the fresh and hardened cementitous comp...
متن کاملProperties of Foamed Mortar Prepared with Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag
Foamed mortar with a density of 1300 kg/m³ was prepared. In the initial laboratory trials, water-to-cement (w/c) ratios ranging from 0.54 to 0.64 were tested to determine the optimal value for foamed mortar corresponding to the highest compressive strength without compromising its fresh state properties. With the obtained optimal w/c ratio of 0.56, two types of foamed mortar were prepared, name...
متن کاملProperties of Cement Pastes Doped with Very High Amounts of Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag
In the current work, the properties of cement pastes doped with high amounts of ground granulated blast-furnace slag (HVS) were investigated. Portland cement (PC) was substituted with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (donated as slag) at very high amounts of 85%, 90%, 95% and 100%, by weight. PC paste without any content of slag was used as a reference. Some fresh and hardened properties su...
